Mommy and Me Part 1
Traditionally, programs that involved a parent and a young child were referred to as Mommy & Me classes. I believe that the old title is a bit outdated, so, let’s refers to those same wonderful, shared experiences as, Parent & Me Programs. In this way, a mom or dad will feel comfortable joining the group.
Parent and child classes can begin when the child is just a few months old, a toddler or a two year old. When children are so young, it is important for the groupings to be homogeneous so that the activities and displayed toys are age appropriate. Parent & Me classes assist/educate parents and children by making the first “school” experience a special one for everyone. It is one of the first steps in a family’s journey to facilitate interpersonal relationships between children and is also a wonderful way to validate your passion for creating life time learners.
